Ben Fisher is an author from North Carolina. Having spent many years writing screenplays, editorial columns for various publications and short fiction — during which time he was lucky enough to garner a number of awards, including the Thomas Wolfe award for fiction — Ben has returned to his roots and first love: comic books.

His first published work in comics was “Lost & Frond,” a back-up feature to Viper Comic’s A Dummy’s Guide to Danger. This was soon followed by the short story “Me and My Shadow,” published by Arcana Studio in its Dark Horrors anthology. Ambrosia Publishing’s SMUGGLING SPIRITS is his first foray into the world of graphic novels.

Ben is also currently working on Hexen Hammers, an original mini-series to be published by Arcana Studio with his frequent collaborator, artist Mike Henderson, among many other projects.

You can get a behind the scenes look at the creative process on Ben and Mike’s Smuggling Spirits MySpace page. You can receive updates about Ben’s current and future projects on his MySpace page and his ComicSpace page.
