Now Accepting Proposals For Online Serials aka Web Comics

Ambrosia Publishing is now accepting proposals for new online serials / web comic series to begin this year. The web comic series will be serialized on Ambrosia Publishing’s future revamped web site then collected for publication as a series of graphic novels.

The creators of the web comics series will enjoy the same benefits as those creators already working with Ambrosia Publishing: 100% creator-owned work and 70% of all profits generated from the sales of their work- for starters. You can learn more about who we are and what we are offering creators by reading our dossier.

Ambrosia Publishing is interested in submissions which fit into the Vertigo / FLIGHT / fantasy mold of stories. For example, we are interested in stories in the same vein as 100 BULLETS, THE INVISIBLES, PREACHER, BONE, MOUSE GUARD, HELLBLAZER, and such.

Below you will find our submission guidelines. PLEASE read them and supply what we request. Failure to do so will lead to us tossing your submission.

If you are interested in submitting your proposal for consideration, send us the following:

• A single-page cover letter with the following:
o Your contact information including email address and phone number
o A paragraph about yourself and what you have done
o A paragraph about the project including a title, logline, how many pages you think it will be, and who the creative team is.

• A one to two-page synopsis which covers the story from beginning to end. It doesn’t have to be detailed. Just an overview of the major events.

• A one page character sheet which lists the major characters with a short one or two line bio about them.

• One page to sell Ambrosia Publishing your project. Tell us why it should be published, why you feel people will want to read it, what your plans are for the project, what is the audience for the project, your ideas on how to market it, etc. This is your chance to champion your project.

• No more than five completed pages from your project. If you have the pages hosted on Flickr, PhotoBucket, or another site, just send us the link(s) to view them. NOTE: We are no longer accepting zipped files of page samples. You can either post them on a free photo-sharing site (such as those already mentioned), or on your website, or you can just mail us your submission. If you choose this last option, just send us copies of your page samples.
