Here’s a weekly recap of things revolving around Ambrosia Publishing

CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE Pre-Order Contest On The Horizon

Some time next week marks the start of the CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE Pre-Order Contest.

“What’s this pre-order contest you speak of, Wesley?”

Glad you asked.

When you place your order for CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE with Ambrosia Publishing (either by mail or by using PayPal), your name will automatically be entered to win one of the following seven prizes:

GRAND PRIZE: The original cover art for the CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE and a signed copy of CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE

SECOND PRIZE: This piece of original art from CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE and a signed copy of CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE

And five other winners will win a signed copy of CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE

Entering is as easy as pre-ordering a copy (or copies) of CLOCKWORK CREATURE: CHAPTER ONE. Look out for the official announcement and the start of the contest next week.

From The Ashes of THE ENGINE Comes PANEL AND PIXEL

As most people reading this knows already (well, those of you that keep up with comic news), Warren Ellis will be closing his much-beloved The Engine forum at the end of this month. In its place comes Panel And Pixel, a forum very similar to The Engine minus the sub-forums about Ellis’ books. So far, it seems to be picking up where The Engine will eventually leave off.

Why Did It Take Me So Long?

That’s what I kept asking myself as I watched ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT on DVD this past week.

Not since the Ricky Gervais version of THE OFFICE have I laughed so much watching a tv show. I kept hearing about it and hearing about it, read positive review after positive review, thinking it’s one of those shows people make a big deal out of how funny and original it is only to find it’s no better than, say, THE GOLDEN GIRLS.

I can without a doubt say I was wrong. All three seasons are available on DVD and I can’t recommend them enough.

David (DUSK) Doub Next Con Appearance

DUSK creator and writer, David Doub, will be at the Bokudou Con being held August 25th till the 26th in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He’ll be on the HOW TO CREATE COMICS/MANGA panel on Sunday, August 26th from 12:30 to 2:30. You can learn more about the con in the link above.
